The process of becoming an ST3 in Intensive Care Medicine is relatively new, and can be daunting to the Core Trainee.  Oxford Deanery have run a one day course this year (free for Oxford Deanery trainees) to help prepare people for the recruitment process with real interview practice and portfolio review, as well as hints and tips from consultants / interviewers and trainees who have recently (successfully!) been through the recruitment system.

It is due to run again next year – see this poster for details.  Feedback from this years session was very positive, candidates particularly enjoyed the task prioritisation, reflective practice and interview stations.

Excellent overall, well structured, organised, helpful for preparation.

Lots of information that haven’t been exposed/learned elsewhere.

Interviewers in real life – their suggestions were really valuable.
